Spa Grande

Spa Grande is Grand Wailea Resort Hotel and Spas Award Winning Spa. The 50,000 Sq. Ft Spa is the Largest in Hawaii, Blending Hawaiian and Ancient Eastern Healing and Relaxation Techniques With European Rejuvenation Therapies. Spa Grande Consists of 42 Treatment Rooms, Sauna, Steam, and Roman Style Jacuzzi, Terme Wailea Hydrotherapy Circuit and Numerous Massage Disciplines.

This is by far one of the best spas in the world! Well, to start off, guests each get a complimentary body exfoliation scrub. We then opted for the couples moor mud wrap and duo massage so we ventured into our respective sides and my husband and I met on the lanai looking over the lush resort grounds. We were guided to our room and were wrapped up in our "mud" wraps and relaxed for about 30 minutes. Our spa specialist returned to "unwrap" us and left us to an already-drawn rose petal bath for two, to rinse off and relax and enjoy for another half hour. Afterwards, we went back on to the lanai, while the room was cleaned up and then returned to the same room for our massages. We had deep massages, which is our preference when it comes to massage. After the heavenly 50 minutes, the couple took our hands and placed them together, a very nice touch! Our couple seemed to be in love, which added a nice added bonus to our already romantic afternoon.

We each then went off to our own sides again, to enjoy the rest of the wonderful amenities.....from a seated bath/shower where you push a button and a gush of water falls over your head and shoulders to give you a water massage, to various mixtures in five warm aromatic baths (including seaweed and mud) that one can float from one to another (rinsing in between) - a seasonal fragrance, relaxing, energizing, etc. There is the Swiss Jet Shower that hits your body from three directions, more whirlpools, hot and cold plunges, facials, scrubs, traditional showers and Japanese Furo Bath which has hand-held a showerhead, with about 10" stools to sit on while "showering". And, of course, there is the obligatory eucalyptus steam room and redwood sauna.

Oh yes, The Pools - Four Jungle Pools, Grotto Pool, Tarzan Pool with rope swing, Baby Beach, Infant Pool, Activity Pool with Volleyball Net. The Slides - Lava Slide ~ 238 feet long with a three story drop, Ana Puka Slide ~ 115 feet long including a 360 degree turn, Rapids Slide ~ White water rapids at 16,000 gallons per minute, Four Tile Slides Other Features: The World's only Water Elevator, Three Jacuzzis, Rope Bridge, Swim-up Grotto Bar, Poolside Massage Cabana, Spa Services Cabana (Toe Rings, Manicures, Pedicures, Hair Braids and Henna Tattoos). There is also Camp Grande - a fun, spacious and friendly mini-resort for kids 5 to 12 years old! The 20,000 square foot facility is designed to accommodate the whim of every child and their parents. Fun and exciting activities range from learning to make a Hawaiian Lei and dance the hula, to playing ancient Hawaiian lawn games, kite making and storytelling. There are four championship golf courses, the elegant Shops at Wailea, and accommodations at the Grand Wailea are among the best in the world, from our Garden View rooms to the expansive luxury Grand Suite. this is a resort that has everything you can ask for of a Maui vacation. Face it. You wouldn't even have to leave the resort. They have it all!
