Loews Lake Las Vegas Resort

Nestled in the hills above Las Vegas, this Mobil 4 star, AAA Four Diamond award winning Loews Lake Las Vegas Resort, Spa and Casino is also decorated in a Moroccan-style setting, on Lake Las Vegas. A walk out back will take you past two large pools, fireplaces, basketball court and tennis. Water falls and fountains abound. Oh, and don’t forget the golf courses. One of the holes is flanked by water on each side and we watched as golfers were challenged to keep the ball on course to the greens. There are lots of water toys, paddle boats and a nice walkway for bikes and joggers alike.

There are also plenty of restaurants! The pool café menu had treats such as Sansabar chicken, Casbah turkey club, etc. There is a casual restaurant, Café Tajine, for breakfast, lunch and dinner and a fine dining restaurant, Marssa, for a Pacific Rim inspired cuisine. For gourmet coffee and specialty drinks, they have the Marrakesh Express and with grilled items, sandwiches and salads, and the Arabesque Lounge is a great place to dine with a lakefront view. For those traveling with children, the resort offers a Loews signature program called Loews Loves Kids. It is a Kids Camp for children aged three to twelve, which is fully supervised with fun activities, special food and drink menus and toys and games on loan through the Kids Kloset. There are two heated swimming pools and a water slide for year round enjoyment and plenty of activities for the water enthusiast. To make pets and their owners feel at home, the resort offers special treatments, gourmet room service, specialized bedding, and guest services. Sweeping views of the golf course, surrounding lake and mountains are available from the 493 tastefully appointed guest rooms and 46 luxurious suites.

The resort is surrounded by natural wonders such as Lake Mead, the Valley of Fire and Hoover Dam or you can take a helicopter ride to the Grand Canyon. Not only does the resort cater to individual travel but with 45M square feet of indoor function space and another 55M of outdoor function space including multiple courtyards, open-air pavilions and terraces it is the ideal setting for your next group from small executive retreats to full scaled conventions. Loews Lake Las Vegas Resort Spa Moulay

If you need to make a call or use the Internet, there are private phone rooms and Internet stations near the elevator banks.

The spa and fitness center are located on the first floor. As you get off the elevator you see a waterfall. You’re almost there…

Inside you’ll find a eucalyptus room, dry sauna and full amenities. The treatment rooms are Moroccan-style, also. Each room has a waterwall waterfalll, with views of the lake, if one wishes to have the drapes and glass sliding door open for outdoor (weather permitting) massages. Each therapist has their own treatment room. There are 11 treatments rooms – facial rooms, wet rooms and massage rooms. A full service beauty salon offers professional hair styling, coloring, makeup application, and manicures and pedicures. Spa Moulay’s 24-hour fitness center includes free-weight stations, treadmills, lifecycle, and cross trainer. The cardio machines have TV’s and headsets. In the spa, there is tea, coffee, water and fruit served. The organic teas are loose-leaf and are presented with individual tea bags that you fill yourself, with quite an assortment to choose from – Moroccan mint, desert passion, Casablanca, and Mojave Sunset.

I opted for the Haram’s Blend treatment – which started with a rub-down of my arms and legs, with a mixture of crushed almond, cinnamon, oil, lemon and orange peel. My therapist, Amanda, professionally placed a warm towel over my chest area while she scrubbed my stomach and neckline. Amanda asked that I sit up and she rubbed the aromatic mixture onto my back and took a warm, moist towel and rubbed my back. I was then led to the shower a couple of feet away and asked to rinse off with a washcloth but no soap. Afterwards, we walked to the massage room, and I laid down on a heated bed. Here, After Amanda rubbed more oil all over my body, I leaned forward and she slid a hot, moist towel under me and then covered me in warm moist linens and towels. While that all soaked in, Amanda then rubbed my neck and shoulders while the heat penetrated the rest of my body while she gave me a head massage. She said my name a lot, personalizing the experience, and made sure that I was very comfortable.
Seasonal signature treatment- Chocolate Wrap Exfoliate with yummy chocolate cake body scrub, then chocolate glow warmed clay cocoon wrap that penetrates and draws out impurities. Finally, re-hydrate the skin with a healthy massage with raspberry or mint oil.
